Futureaudio GmbH takes over exclusive worldwide distribution of the cult label Pharma
Buchholz in der Nordheide, November 29, 2024 – Futureaudio GmbH proudly announces the acquisition of the exclusive worldwide distribution of the legendary German music label Pharma. This partnership marks a significant step towards the revival and digital distribution of the groundbreaking sounds that made the label famous from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s.
Pharma, founded in Frankfurt am Main in 1995 by music visionaries Cem Oral(Jammin’ Unit) and Roger Cobernus(Kerosene), stands for an incomparable fusion of electro, techno and dub. During its run, the label established itself as a platform for experimental music, releasing works by respected artists such as Zulutronic, G104, Gringo and other pioneers of the electronic scene, including Can Oral(Khan), DMX Krew (Edward Upton), Bad Street Boy (Mathis Mootz) and Air Liquide.
“We are thrilled to bring the extraordinary music of Pharma into today’s digital world and make it accessible to a new audience,” says Christian Quast, CEO of Futureaudio GmbH. “This label was a milestone in the history of electronic music, and we are honored to continue this tradition.”
The original Pharma design, characterized by the graphic signature of Bente Schipp, will also be incorporated into the new digital editions and preserve the label’s visual identity.
Futureaudio GmbH will make all Pharma releases available on all relevant digital platforms worldwide and ensure that this treasure of electronic music history continues to live and inspire.
